Located on
Hon Tre Island, Vinpearl Land’s fun park features some thrilling rides
including the Carousel (merry-go 3D), which is designed for fearless
visitors who are thrown around in three directions much to their
delight; the flying trapeze is also a favorite with visitors who have a
head for heights; Pirate Ship is another for thrill-seekers who just
bring up their lunch on this ride and finally the High-speed Glider is
one not to be missed if you are crazy enough. It changes speed and
direction suddenly on a curved track and was one many visitors in our
group were very keen to avoid.
Of course there are smaller rides for the kids but it’s the big
ones that were busiest with not much queues it has to be said. Most
large theme parks like Disney can see you wait 90 minutes for a five
minute ride but not so in Vinpearl where you can pretty much can walk
onto rides.
The water park is a joy to behold for kids and adults alike with
some amazing rides. The only problem with rides like the Six-lane slide,
Tsunami, Free fall and Black holes is that you have to grab your mat
and go back up to the top to start again.
There is also a gorgeous white, sandy beach on one of the most
beautiful bays in the world and if you fancy resting up after all the
fun rides.
Inside the park there is of course the 4D cinema, Car crash or
Dodgems, a lot of shooting games, boxing, a rodeo and of course a
Karaoke room, which seems to be the most popular destination for
Vietnamese. And you can’t miss out on the aquarium, the largest of its
kind in the nation, with all your favorites like sharks and stingrays.
And of course you will need some food after a long day out with the
Food Village which spans the coastline and is ideal for a bite to eat
with its fresh romantic setting. There is also numerous fast food
options and of course the Chieu Anh Restaurant which specialises in
Asian dishes.
Shopping Street is based on the romantic old town of Hoi An and it
combines the traditional with the modern with luxury goods, street
clothing and jewels a big hit with visitors.
At the close of play there are still light and singing shows at the
5000-seat amphitheater to complete your wonderful day. Best leaving
quick, though, as the queue for the cable ride home can be pretty big.
The 3,320 meter cable car system is the world’s longest over water.
The ten minute ride is the only way back home after one of the best
days of your life and of course the stunning views of Nha Trang Bay are a
bonus if it is not too dark. However, at night the cable car is laser
lit and it has to be said is pretty spectacular.
Entrance to Vinpearl Land is pittance as at around VND400,000 you
get entrance to the park with a cable car ride back thrown in for good
measure. Most international visitors, though, will be on tour packages
with free entrance as part of their trip. So cheap and so good - so go.
